Thrilled to Share Our Achievement! 🌟 Another exciting milestone — this time with MaggotHub, a project where we work together to build a digital ecosystem for the circular economy by empowering Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots to transform organic waste into high-quality protein feed and fertilizer. Through the ICT Business Development Competition at ITASE FEST 6.0, we explored how agritech innovation can create real impact in waste management and sustainable food systems. I am very excited that there are significant opportunities developing to test different types of novel weed control technology in 2026. The first metrics to capture are performance and safety and then identifying non-target impacts of use (boosts in crop vigor from herbicide use reductions, compaction associated with heavy equipment, operating parameters, etc...). The next step to take is really documenting how weed populations and communities change over time. For example, with crop-weed discrimination-based systems, do we select for species that are more similar to the crop in appearance? And then we need to evaluate how best to integrate tools into IWM. What other production practices do they work best with?
