This is six months inside one of Africa's most active AgriTech companies — working across client management, product support, software development, marketing and project management. A paid traineeship designed to give you real exposure to what it takes to build and run digital infrastructure for agricultural supply chains across 20 countries. If you are selected, you will be supporting cooperatives, food processors and commodity traders across Sub-Saharan Africa. You will be in client meetings. You will be doing onsite training. Milestone 1 Completed! Milestone 1 is officially wrapped up, and the core data and backend foundation is now in place. AI-Powered Smart Irrigation System for Predictive Water Management and Crop Optimization. As part of my Infosys Springboard Virtual Internship, this milestone focused on building the data foundation and backend integration of the system. Here’s what the screenshots show : • GitHub – Project repository with the implemented source code and milestone work. • FastAPI – Sensor data ingestion API successfully receiving and storing soil-moisture readings. • Weather API – Fetching current weather conditions and forecast data for Bengaluru, including temperature, humidity and rainfall information. • PostgreSQL – Database structure with tables for crop, farmer, field, sensor, sensor data and weather data. Also implemented input validation and duplicate-reading handling during API testing. This milestone gave me a strong foundation for building the upcoming modules of the project. 🏆 A Proud Milestone in Our Engineering Journey! 🚜🌱 I’m thrilled to share that our team secured 1st Place at DIPEX 2026 in the Agricultural Technology category, held at MIT Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, along with a ₹11,000 prize. Our project, “Agricultural PTO Trolley for Multi-Utility Applications,” was developed between 5th and 8th March with one goal in mind — to create a practical solution for real challenges faced by farmers. The PTO-powered trolley is designed to support multiple agricultural operations, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency in the field. We focused on making the solution practical, affordable, and suitable for real-world applications. This journey was not just about winning a competition; it was about turning an idea into something useful, applying engineering knowledge to a real problem, and learning through teamwork and hands-on experience.
