I’ve been exploring n8n out of curiosity to understand how far no-code automation can go beyond basic workflows. As part of that, I built a small system that sends daily irrigation guidance to farmers based on real-time weather data. 🛠️ What the workflow does ▪ Fetches the latest temperature, humidity and rainfall forecast using the Open-Meteo API ▪ Processes the data through custom logic to determine whether irrigation is needed and approx. water amount ▪ Sends the advisory to the farmer via SMS in Tamil ▪ Logs all daily readings and irrigation decisions automatically in Google Sheets 🔧 Tools & Tech n8n • JavaScript Function Nodes • HTTP Request • Twilio SMS • Google Sheets 💡I built this To explore practical automation in agriculture using n8n alone — without paid AI models or external hardware.
