Farms are primarily known for food production. However, they also possess the potential to act as vital air filters, actively removing harmful atmospheric carbon from our environment. This function occurs through the process of photosynthesis, where plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air. A significant portion of this captured carbon is then permanently stored in the soil, a process known as carbon sequestration. Implementing innovative agricultural practices is essential to maximize this environmental benefit. Techniques such as regenerative agriculture, no-till farming, and cover cropping significantly boost the soil's capacity for carbon storage. These practices dramatically enhanced soil health, creating a more fertile and nutrient-dense growing medium. The direct result is the production of higher quality food crops, offering improved nutritional value. There is a powerful relationship between ensuring food security and effective environmental conservation. Investing in these advanced farming methods offers a dual strategy for climate change mitigation and feeding a growing population. Si tratta di tutte quelle applicazioni della micologia in ambito agricolo e forestale atte a collaborare con l'ambiente naturale, specialmente boschivo, per trarne una fonte di prodotti non legnosi: i funghi. Questo avviene tramite la corretta gestione del bosco, l'inoculo di specifici substrati e la predisposizione di vere e proprie colture in foresta 🌲🌳, oppure con l'impianto di semenzali micorrizati, quali le piantine tartufigene o quelle micorrizate con altre specie come il sanguinello (Lactarius deliciosus). The Open Field

Hyderabad marked a special milestone for me as I joined the EARTH Summit - the first of a three-city national series by NABARD and the Internet and Mobile Association of India. Being invited as a speaker to share our work at The Open Field, especially the vision behind Ayan Hubs and Forest OS, felt like a moment of quiet validation for what we’ve been building in Jharkhand’s forest economy. I’m thankful to XLRI Jamshedpur and NABARD Jharkhand for nominating me to represent our state on this platform. My gratitude to Prof Saurav Snehvrat for his guidance, and to Mrs Deepmala Ghose, GM NABARD, for her trust and encouragement. A personal highlight was seeing my photograph on the event poster alongside leaders from the agri-tech and fin-tech space; a reminder of how far a small idea from Jharkhand can travel. The summit also brought together founders from across India whose work points to a promising future for rural innovation and climate-smart agriculture. I haven’t posted much on LinkedIn before, but this one is too fun not to share. I’m writing in English not only because half of my network is international, but also because Bogdan already told this story in Ukrainian, and I want more people to see it. Together with my amazing teammates, we built a model that can tell tomato ripeness from a photo, green, turning, or fully ripe. And yes, we made a Hugging Face Space so anyone can try it on their own tomatoes, or your friends’ 😄. Huge thanks to the team for all the work, and to Bogdan for helping spread the word. 🌾 Learning, Collaboration & Innovation — My Experience at Agro Vision, Nagpur I had the opportunity to spend the last two days at Agro Vision in Nagpur, and the experience was incredibly enriching. It offered a clear view of how fast agriculture is evolving and how deeply technology is shaping the future of the sector. 1️⃣ Strategic Insights & Industry Alignment A key highlight was my conversation with Mr. Harish Mehta, Senior Advisor at CCFI. We discussed Prime Fresh’s upcoming rollouts, our long-term supply chain vision, and the transformational impact that AI and digital migration will have on transparency, efficiency, and farmer empowerment. This discussion helped validate the direction we’re moving in at Prime Fresh. 2️⃣ Understanding the AI-Driven Future of Agriculture Agro Vision made it evident that intelligent systems, automation, and data-backed decision-making will define the next stage of agricultural growth. Seeing these trends closely helped me better understand how our ongoing work at Prime Fresh fits into the broader national agri-tech landscape. 3️⃣ Connecting with Agripilot (Microsoft-backed) I had an insightful interaction with the team at Agripilot. Their work on digital farm monitoring, yield prediction, and scalable agri analytics strongly aligns with the systems-led approach we are building internally. This exchange opened up new perspectives on how technology can strengthen field operations and decision frameworks. 4️⃣ Exposure to Emerging Technologies Agro Vision also gave me hands-on exposure to: • IoT-based soil testing devices for real-time nutrient and moisture insights • Radiation technology for fruits and vegetables to enhance shelf life and reduce post-harvest losses These innovations reinforced how critical advanced tools will be in creating a more efficient and predictable supply chain. Overall, Agro Vision was a meaningful learning experience. 🌾 Turning Data Into Decisions : As someone fascinated by how technology can solve real-world problems, I wanted to build something meaningful — something that could actually help farmers make smarter decisions. So I created a Fertilizer Recommendation System using Machine Learning. This system analyzes soil nutrients (N, P, K), pH, moisture, rainfall, and crop type… and then recommends the best fertilizer — along with top 3 suggestions and detailed reasoning. I designed a fully interactive Streamlit UI, added a dark theme, and powered it using a RandomForest model enhanced with SMOTE to handle class imbalance. The goal?
