When exposed to extreme summer heat, drought stress, or soil nutrient imbalances, hemp plants undergo metabolic shifts that cause THC levels to spike above legal limits, risking mandatory field destruction under state excise rules. Processing raw hemp stalks into textile-grade bast fiber or hurd (for bio-building) requires capital-intensive, localized decortication machinery at the farm gate. . 🌱 Un nouveau projet prend racine ! Nous sommes fiers d’accompagner l’un de nos clients dans l’équipement d’1 hectare de serre, avec l’installation prochaine d’un ordinateur climatique et de Thermitube. 🌡️🌿 Mais au-delà de l’installation, notre mission chez Valnexo, c’est avant tout de proposer un accompagnement complet, de A à Z. 🤝 Notre client n’a eu aucune démarche administrative à effectuer. Nos équipes se sont occupées de l’ensemble du projet : étude des besoins, recherche des aides et subventions disponibles, constitution et suivi des dossiers, jusqu’à la mise en place des équipements. 💶 Résultat : 0 € à la charge du client pour l’installation de ces équipements, grâce aux dispositifs d’aides et aux subventions que nous avons pu identifier et mobiliser pour son projet. Et l’intérêt ne s’arrête évidemment pas au financement. Cette nouvelle technologie va permettre d’optimiser beaucoup plus finement la gestion du climat de la serre, d’améliorer les conditions de production et surtout d’allonger la période de récolte. 🍅 L’objectif : pouvoir gagner jusqu’à 3 semaines en amont et 3 semaines en aval sur les récoltes, soit jusqu’à 6 semaines supplémentaires de potentiel de production sur la saison. 🌽 What 20+ Years of Maize Price Data Reveals About Nigeria I recently explored 51,000+ food price records from the WFP Nigeria food price dataset, covering 2002–2023. Two things caught my attention: 📈 Maize prices show a clear seasonal pattern. Prices tend to be lower around the post-harvest period and rise toward the lean season, with roughly a 30% difference between the lower and higher periods. 🔗 Distant markets move remarkably closely. Wholesale maize prices (100 kg) across Oyo, Lagos and Kano, including Dawanau Market in Kano, showed correlations above 0.987. This doesn't prove market integration by itself, but it raises an interesting question: How quickly do agricultural price signals move between Nigerian markets, and can this information improve price forecasting and supply-chain decisions? This is the direction I'm increasingly interested in: AI + Forecasting + Agriculture + Supply Chain Next step: moving from exploratory analysis into time-series forecasting and multi-market prediction. AI is moving beyond the “bigger model = better AI” era. Recent developments make one shift increasingly clear: The model is becoming just one component of the AI system. We’re moving toward architectures built around: → Agentic workflows and tool use → RAG, context and memory → Model routing and specialized models → MCP and external integrations → Evaluation, tracing and observability → Guardrails and human oversight The question is no longer just: “Which LLM should we use?” It’s becoming: “How do we build an AI system that knows what context to retrieve, which model or tool to use, when to act, and whether the result can be trusted?” For domains like Agriculture, this matters even more. AI needs to understand historical recommendations, weather, crop conditions and previous actions, not simply generate another response. The next competitive advantage in AI won’t come from the model alone. Better context. Better orchestration. Better evaluation. Better feedback loops.
