    La fin de la sécheresse (météorologique) a été marquée par le début de la saison des orages méditerranéens offrant un spectacle grandiose durant l'intégralité de la nuit passée.     On enchaîne. Il est maintenant très probable que nous allons vivre l'El-Nino le plus intense depuis le début de son observation sur Terre (et surement depuis des siècles). Les premiers effets se font sentir avec un décrochage total des températures mondiales. Le mois d'août 2026 pourrait être le mois d'août le plus chaud sur Terre depuis le début des mesures. Nous ne sommes qu'à 0.11°C du record absolu mondial de température et 0.01°C du record absolu de la surface des océans. La méditerranée enchaîne les records absolus de température avec une canicule marine qui dure depuis des semaines avec jusqu'à +3 à +6°C d'anomalie. Les derniers relevés montrent qu'avec une moyenne de 28.5°C, la surface de la mer Méditerranée vient de battre son record absolu de température. En d'autres termes, la mer Méditerranée n'a jamais été aussi chaude tous mois confondus. Ce n'est que le début. Nous sommes partis pour 1 an d'incroyables records à l'échelle planétaire.

Our project, AI Farm Brain, is focused on one important challenge: How can we make farming smarter, more efficient and practical for farmers? What made this experience valuable wasn't just getting selected. It was the opportunity to present our idea, understand the problem more deeply, receive feedback and question our own assumptions. A memorable 24 hours of learning, building, and innovation! I’m delighted to share my experience of participating in DEMUX 3.0 – 2026, a 24-hour National-Level Hackathon organized by Year Zero at BV Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), in association with TCS. 🚀 During the hackathon, our team worked on AgriFresh AI, an AgriTech solution that uses Artificial Intelligence to analyze fruit ripeness and quality and provide useful recommendations for farmers and households. 🌱 From brainstorming and developing our idea to debugging unexpected errors, making last-minute improvements, and presenting our project to the jury, every moment challenged us and helped us learn something new. 💻✨ I’m grateful to have worked alongside my amazing teammates Indu Sirangi and Lavanya Daraswar. Working under a 24-hour deadline strengthened my skills in teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, time management, and staying calm under pressure. Le vide sanitaire Le vide sanitaire, ce n'est pas une checklist. C'est un exercice de triage sous contrainte de temps — et l'ordre dans lequel vous tranchez pèse plus que l'effort total. → Calibrez l'intensité sur la culture qui vient de sortir, pas sur une routine. Une sortie sans incident et un foyer de fusarium ou de pythium n'appellent pas le même vide sanitaire. Appliquer le même protocole aux deux, c'est sur-investir d'un côté et sous-protéger de l'autre. → Quand les heures manquent, l'arbitrage se joue dans les circuits, pas sur les surfaces. Un plancher impeccable au-dessus de lignes d'irrigation jamais purgées, c'est un biofilm qui réensemence dès la reprise. Le temps qu'on coupe devrait l'être sur le cosmétique visible, pas sur les réservoirs cachés. → Le vrai coût n'est pas le produit, c'est le jour de reprise. La question que peu posent franchement : un jour de rotation en moins justifie-t-il une désinfection complète, ou l'historique du site permet-il d'accélérer sans risque ? Ça dépend de vos pathogènes, pas d'une règle générale. Un vide sanitaire mal arbitré ne se voit pas à la reprise. Il se voit trois semaines plus tard, dans la première vague. P.S. On garde les nettoyants et désinfectants de serre en stock. Par la culture en champs et la récupération de surplus agricoles, portées par près de 200 bénévoles, l’organisme redistribue plus de 200 000 livres de fruits et légumes annuellement à des milliers de personnes grâce à Moisson Beauce et à une centaine de partenaires locaux. « Derrière chaque fruit et légume distribué, il y a une famille qui mange mieux, une personne rassasiée, un enfant qui grandit plus sainement. » – Jean Champagne, Président Aujourd’hui, l’organisme donne une deuxième vie à l’église de St-Alfred en la convertissant en un complexe maraîcher unique en son genre où des aliments frais sont produits, transformés, conservés et redistribués, 12 mois par année. Le projet innovant comprend une serre aéroponique aménagée au sous-sol, dédiée à la production de laitues et de légumes verts, ainsi qu’une serre trois saisons et des jardins extérieurs permettant de bonifier la capacité de production.
