
SENTRY: A Precision Agriculture Solution for Plant Pathogen Surveillance and Risk Assessment

We have looked at why European agriculture needs to move from reacting to disease to preventing it. So how does SENTRY actually do it?
The SENTRY platform brings together three pillars that work as one system: detect early, predict accurately, and intervene cleanly.
🌱 Autonomous airborne diagnostics. Field-operable biosensors sample the air and identify priority plant pathogens in real time, catching threats before symptoms ever appear on the crop.
🌱 AI-driven digital twins. Live diagnostic signals, microclimate data and farmer observations feed a dynamic digital model of each crop-pathogen system, forecasting outbreak windows and testing interventions virtually before anything is applied in the field.
🌱 Eco-friendly phytosanitary interventions. Residue-free measures from planting to storage, including microbial biocontrol, nanobubbles, cold plasma and UV-C disinfection.
Together they turn scattered signals into timely, targeted action, protecting crops from the field to the shelf while driving chemical use down.
