AgriTech Crisis: Kenyan B2B Giant Twiga Foods Enters Administration After Squeezed Liquidity Kenyan agritech platform Twiga Foods once the country's most heavily funded B2B startup with over $185 million raised has placed its primary operating entity, GT Flow Limited, under statutory administration following insurmountable creditor pressure. Under an official insolvency filing, administrator Mohamed Mohamed has assumed full management control over company assets, freezing board powers to allow creditors and suppliers a 30-day window to submit formal claims. Founded in 2014 to connect smallholder farmers directly to urban kiosks, Twiga struggled with high fixed overheads at its Tatu City logistics hub, heavy debt obligations, and slim unit margins. Despite a $35 million convertible round in late 2023 and a strategic pivot toward consumer goods distribution, the startup failed to achieve profitability, marking one of the largest corporate restructurings in the African venture ecosystem. De nieuwe serre van KU Leuven is een hoogtechnologisch én fossielvrij onderzoekscomplex van 3.360 m², met 34 afzonderlijk regelbare serrecompartimenten voor planten- en gewasonderzoek. This work was carried out by Yasaman Moghaddasi as part of the HEALTHY 2 project , in collaboration with ASTREDHOR - Institut des professionnels du végétal and CTIFL.
