Aromas and Fragrances: BASF Strengthens Its Global Chain with New Capacities in Germany and China

BASF has announced the opening of three new plants in Ludwigshafen (Germany) and Zhanjiang (China) for the production of menthol, linalool, and citral, aiming to enhance supply reliability and meet growing demand. These facilities will optimize resources and strengthen the company's position in the flavors and fragrances market. Commercial production began in April 2026, creating 60 jobs in Ludwigshafen.
