Since 2024, Éric Sargiacomo has been a Member of the European Parliament, elected on the list led by Raphaël Glucksmann. He is part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats group. Sargiacomo serves as the Vice-President of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and is a member of the Committees on Fisheries and Legal Affairs. He holds a degree in European Law from Bordeaux-IV University and has been a regional councilor for Nouvelle-Aquitaine since 2021. He previously served as the First Secretary of the Landes Federation of the Socialist Party.
