Horti Inside: A New Platform Supporting the Future of Greenhouse Horticulture!
Every industry reaches moments when knowledge, innovation, and collaboration must come together to move forward. For the international greenhouse horticulture sector, the launch of Horti Inside marks such a moment. That is why I am pleased to contribute as a columnist to this new platform.
Horti Inside is built around a simple but powerful mission:

My motivation to join is rooted in a strong belief:
Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), and the mid- and high-tech greenhouses that support it, can play a decisive role in creating a more sustainable and resilient food system.
I am convinced that advanced greenhouse systems help us produce fresh food and beautiful flowers and plants with far greater efficiency. They allow us to grow more with less—less land, less water, less energy. And they help free up space for what society increasingly needs: places to live, places to work, and places where nature can recover and flourish.
When I look at today’s challenges—climate pressure, labour shortages, water scarcity, growing global demand—I see a sector that is ready for transformation. And I see technology as a critical enabler: climate and energy systems that close loops, robotics that reduce labour pressure, data and AI that support consistent and precise growing.
What excites me about Horti Inside is its commitment to sharing this type of knowledge widely and accessibly. It is not just another news site, but a multimedia platform that blends news, analysis, background stories, opinions, podcasts, and video, while also being present at the major international trade fairs where the industry meets.
In my columns, I aim to reflect on the developments shaping the sector:
How technology and sustainability reinforce each other
How CEA can contribute to global food security
How the horticultural value chain can collaborate more effectively
And how innovation can support a truly future-proof greenhouse industry
Horti Inside is creating a space where these conversations can take place openly and constructively — across borders and disciplines. I am looking forward to contributing to that dialogue and helping strengthen the connection between ideas, technology, and practice.
