Nos complace anunciar que #UMBRALMIP es uno de los ganadores de los StartUp Europe Awards AL-INVEST Verde Fruta Sostenible Chile 2025, organizados por la Fundación Finnovaregio y Fedefruta, en el marco del programa europeo AL-INVEST Verde. 🌾 UMBRAL-MIP: "Control biológico de arañitas fitófagas, hágalo usted mismo" Abordando el Reto 2: alternativas sostenibles a pesticidas y químicos sintéticos, UMBRAL-MIP, una E.I.R.L. chilena especializada en el manejo biológico de plagas, impulsa una revolución en el control de arañitas fitófagas mediante un modelo basado en la autoproducción de controladores biológicos. El proyecto promueve el uso de ácaros depredadores de la familia Phytoseiidae, una herramienta natural y efectiva para controlar estas plagas sin recurrir a acaricidas. Su aplicación reduce el impacto ambiental en huertos, cultivos y también en espacios urbanos y de jardinería. 💡 Innovación biológica para una agricultura más sana UMBRAL-MIP se apoya en el método de cría masiva SAG/MACH, desarrollado en #Chile, que permite superar las limitaciones de métodos anteriores pensados para regiones tropicales o con fines científicos. Su visión va un paso más allá: empoderar a los productores para criar sus propios depredadores naturales, reduciendo costos y aumentando la sostenibilidad. 🌱 Con esta iniciativa, UMBRAL-MIP promueve el conocimiento sobre el control biológico, la autonomía agrícola y la agroecología, respondiendo a la creciente demanda de alimentos y entornos más saludables. Impacto principal: 🌍 Ambiental: Masificación del control biológico y menor uso de acaricidas. 💰 Económico: Costos reducidos, mayor independencia productiva y consumo saludable. 🌾 Social: Transferencia tecnológica y apoyo a productores y agentes de cambio ambiental. Aujourd’hui à Grasse, au colloque de l’UNESCO sur les savoir-faire liés au parfum en pays de grasse face aux défis du XXIe siècle, nous avons assisté à une intervention marquante : celle de Mathilde CLEMENT, PhD, de la start-up MYCOPHYTO, hébergée chez Grasse BIOTECH. 🌱 𝐋𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫 Les cultures de plantes à parfum – roses, lavandes, immortelles – sont en première ligne face aux dérèglements climatiques. Sécheresses, raréfaction de l’eau, appauvrissement des sols… Comment préserver ce patrimoine vivant et agricole ? 🔬 𝐋𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐨 : 𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 Créée en 2017, cette start-up issue de la recherche publique (INRAE) développe des solutions naturelles à base de champignons mycorhiziens. Leur rôle ? Créer un réseau souterrain qui : 🔹augmente la rétention d’eau dans les sols (+20 %), 🔹libère les nutriments bloqués comme le phosphore, 🔹renforce la santé des plantes. Un exemple ? 🌹 En 2022, lors de la sécheresse exceptionnelle, les rosiers traités avec Mycophyto ont conservé leur rendement, là où d'autres souffraient. Et la qualité ? Les analyses ont confirmé : ni l’huile essentielle ni l’hydrolat des roses ne sont altérés. ✅ 🏭 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐥’𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Mycophyto, hébergée au sein de l'hôtel d'entreprises scientifiques , vient de lever des fonds pour baisser les coûts de production et démocratiser l’accès à sa technologie.
