Comment passer de l'économie linéaire extractiviste à un modèle circulaire? À celles et ceux qui pensent que c'est impossible, on a envie de répondre que si une ancienne ville minière comme Chapais, en Côte-Nord, y est arrivée (et surtout qu'elle y gagne sur tous les plans), c'est loin de l'être. Contrairement à ce qu'on pense, ce qui conduit une municipalité ou des acteurs économiques à changer leur manière de produire et de gaspiller, c'est souvent le pragmatisme et le bon sens. Nos forestières et scieries créent des déchets? Pourquoi ne pas alimenter une usine de cogénération. Avant ça, on pourrait en faire des huiles essentielles et des hydrolats. Mais que faire des cendres? Puisque que ce serait cher de les envoyer plus au sud, pourquoi ne pas s'en servir pour dépolluer et revitaliser le parc de résidus miniers? Et la chaleur que l'on crée... envoyons-là dans d'immenses serres qui contribueront à l'autonomie et à la sécurité alimentaires... Voici en substance comment plusieurs organisations et individus en sont venus à transformer une ville qui subissait les séquelles de l'extraction minière en poste d'avant-garde de l'économie circulaire. 🌱 Highlights from the 23rd Mission Haldrak Bootcamp – CV Hydro Global x Pristine Farms 🌱 Honoured to be part of the 23rd Mission Haldrak Bootcamp, where I also got the opportunity to speak about the importance of beneficial microbes in soilless cultivation and how they strengthen nutrient efficiency and root-zone health. Mission Haldrak, led by CV Hydro Global, is a breakthrough soilless farming initiative focused on producing clean, residue-free, high-curcumin turmeric and ginger with consistently higher yields and quality. A special moment was the presence of Agronomists from Synthite Industries Pvt.
