🌟 Some journeys don’t end with a trophy — they end with perspective, pride, and purpose. 🌟
Grateful to have been a Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Hardware Edition Finalist at IIT Roorkee 🚀
An experience that was intense, enriching, and truly unforgettable.
Our team worked on Problem Statement SIH25267, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare —
designing a low-cost, portable jute ribboning machine to reduce manual labour and improve farm productivity.
A real problem with real impact.
Here’s what made it special — we’re all Computer Science & Engineering students 😄
Hardware wasn’t our comfort zone, but curiosity and passion led the way. We learned by doing — prototyping, testing, breaking things, fixing them, and repeating the cycle through long all-nighters and caffeine-fuelled brainstorming sessions ☕⚙️
Coming from Kolkata, West Bengal — the heart of India’s jute ecosystem — this challenge felt close to home. Being one of the two teams selected from our college to represent at the SIH Grand Finale made the journey even more meaningful and humbling.
To my five incredible seniors and teammates Rishi Paul, Rajarshi Mondal, Rajarshi Mondal, Prachi Ghosh and Debdyuti Mondal — what a joy it was to build, struggle, laugh, and grow together. The teamwork, trust, and energy turned every sleepless night into a memory worth keeping. Truly grateful to be part of this team 💛
A heartfelt thank you to our mentors Dr. Abhishek Bal and Dr.Deepam Gangopadhyay for their constant guidance and belief. Your support gave us the confidence to step into unfamiliar territory and come out stronger.
We may not have taken home the trophy — but we return with clarity, confidence, friendships, and a fire to do better next time 🔥
Some experiences teach you more than a win ever could.
Here’s to learning, building, and coming back bigger, better, and stronger 🚀
