As the year comes to a close, I reflect on a journey that began with curiosity, hesitation, and many questions about what my professional path would look like after completion of my MBA
Starting my career as a fresher, I joined Salam Kisan as an Agronomist, where beyond my core role, I was exposed to marketing, operations, and project financing. Early on, I had the opportunity to lead and manage drone pilot teams across three districts, gaining strong grassroots experience.
Within a year, I transitioned into the role of Business Development Officer, contributing to geographical expansion, field trials, and SOP development for drone operations. My journey further evolved as in Product Development, working on drone-specific formulations—from market research and trials to product launches. Today, this role allows me to travel across states, supporting the expansion of drone technology and its adoption at scale.
One of the most rewarding aspects has been translating real farmer requirements into practical, scalable drone solutions, engaging closely with farmers, agri-companies, and stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.
Working in a startup environment has broadened my horizons, exposed me to diverse business roles, and shaped me into a more adaptable professional.
I am deeply grateful to the leadership of Salam Kisan - Dhanashree Mandhani,Akshay Khobragade,Pradyumn M. Vanshika Nyati —for their trust, guidance, and continuous support. Looking forward to creating greater impact in the agri-tech ecosystem ahead.
