Heartfelt New Year Wishes for 2026 As we step into 2026, a year where Deep Technology (AI) and Nature-centric innovation are gaining well-deserved attention, I’m grateful to reflect on a truly meaningful 2025 for Krish Hortus. 2025 marked a major milestone for us. We were incubated by the IIT Madras Incubation Cell (IITMIC), and successfully launched our live product – Hortus Billing. This platform is designed to digitally empower small and medium nursery businesses, while also encouraging people to reconnect with the plants and trees around them through technology. A sincere thanks to the IITMIC mentoring sessions, Ramco Institute of Technology, Hasan Robotics learning centre (Dr.Pothyrajan), which not only enabled our live product release but also helped strengthen our Real Forestry Robotics vision—focused on digitising plants and their communication using low-cost LiDAR and MOS sensor technologies. I’m deeply thankful to the talented interns from IIT Madras, Ramco Institute of Technology (Rajapalayam), Kalasalingam University, and Anna University, Guindy, whose dedication and technical effort played a crucial role in enhancing Real Forestry tech products and taking Hortus Billing live by the end of this beautiful year. I look forward to continuing this collaboration in 2026, building deeper connections between students, technology, and nature. Via Euronews : La taxe carbone entre en vigueur aux frontières de l’UE https://lnkd.in/deWNh7vu À partir de 2026, les importateurs de l'UE devront acheter et restituer des certificats CBAM correspondant aux émissions de CO2 incorporées dans leurs exportations, à un prix conforme au marché du carbone de l'UE, soit environ 70 à 100 euros par tonne de CO2. Les importateurs européens vont devoir acheter des certificats MACF. Les importateurs d'acier, de ciment, d'aluminium ou d'engrais verront probablement une augmentation des coûts des matériaux, en particulier lorsque les données sur les émissions sont incomplètes ou reposent sur des valeurs par défaut. Bien que les exportateurs ne soient pas légalement obligés par la législation européenne, les implications auxquelles ils sont confrontés sont tout aussi importantes. Si un exportateur ne peut pas fournir d'informations fiables et vérifiables sur les émissions, l'importateur doit utiliser des valeurs par défaut prudentes, ce qui augmente le coût des certificats. Dans la pratique, cela signifie que des données de haute qualité sont une exigence commerciale, et non un détail réglementaire. Les exportateurs qui ne peuvent pas répondre à ces attentes risquent de perdre complètement des clients de l'UE. Les recettes de la taxe sur les émissions de gaz à effet de serre aideront les industries européennes. La taxe carbone aux frontières de l'UE vise à envoyer un signal global aux pays extérieurs à l'UE, en les encourageant à adopter la tarification du carbone et des méthodes de production plus propres.
