

Vancouver-based Earth observation and analytics company EarthDaily has outlined plans to launch nine satellites through this year and early 2027, strengthening its proprietary data infrastructure for agricultural markets worldwide. One satellite is already in orbit following a June 2025 launch, marking the start of a constellation designed to support daily imaging of Earth’s landmass.
The upcoming satellites will combine visual, infrared, shortwave infrared, and thermal sensors on a single platform, enabling continuous monitoring of crop conditions and environmental variables. EarthDaily said the system will generate automated insights and alerts related to water availability, soil moisture, and crop stress, shifting from periodic observations to daily intelligence.
With the expanded constellation, EarthDaily aims to extend high-frequency analytics to regions such as India, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, where smaller landholdings have historically limited access to advanced satellite insights. The company is transitioning from reliance on third-party satellites to its own space-based assets to directly power its software and analytics platform.
EarthDaily is integrating the satellite programme with AI and machine learning models to improve pattern recognition across large datasets, supporting more precise field-level decisions around crop performance, input use, and risk assessment. The data is used across agriculture, agronomy, retail, commodities, insurance, and agricultural finance to assess portfolios from a unified measurement base.
The expansion reflects growing demand for evidence-based agricultural decision-making as climate change reshapes cropping patterns globally. By delivering consistent, high-resolution data across geographies, EarthDaily is positioning its platform to support climate adaptation, resource efficiency, and improved outcomes across the agri-value chain.
