India isn’t just “adopting AI.” India is building with it at production depth. Anthropic says India is now the second-largest market for Claude.ai, and ~half of Claude usage in India is computer + mathematical work—apps, system modernization, and shipping real software. That’s the signal: India’s developer base is using AI as a workbench, not a toy. Now comes the footprint move: Anthropic has officially opened its Bengaluru office (Feb 16, 2026)—and announced partnerships spanning enterprise, education, agriculture, and public-interest services. What’s strategically important here (India lens) 1) “Indic performance” is becoming a real product priority Anthropic is curating higher-quality data across 10 widely spoken Indian languages (Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu) and building evaluations with Karya + Collective Intelligence Project, with domain partners like Digital Green and Adalat AI. This is how models stop being English-first and become India-native. 2) Enterprise adoption = compounding distribution Anthropic says its India revenue run-rate has doubled since its expansion push—driven heavily by Claude’s coding and enterprise use cases. Examples highlighted: • Air India using Claude Code to ship software faster • CRED reporting 2× faster feature delivery + ~10% better test coverage • Cognizant deploying Claude to 350,000 employees globally to modernize legacy systems 3) Education + inclusion is being designed as infrastructure Educational tasks are ~12% of Claude use in India. Pratham’s “Anytime Testing Machine” (Claude-powered) is piloting with 1,500 students across 20 schools, aiming for 100 schools by end-2026, plus expansion for 5,000+ learners in Second Chance (women who left formal schooling). 4) Public-sector scale + open standards is the real moat Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP)—now under the Linux Foundation’s Agentic AI effort—pushes interoperability (tools/data ↔ AI) like a “universal connector.” In India, MoSPI/NSO launched a beta MCP server (Feb 6, 2026) to let AI systems query official national statistics in an open, interoperable way. 5) High-friction domains are the real test • Adalat AI: national WhatsApp helpline for case updates + translation + doc summarization in Indian languages (India has ~50 million pending court cases, per Anthropic’s note). • EkStep + OpenAgriNet: exploring population-scale deployments in agriculture (a sector employing roughly half the workforce, ~1/6 of the economy, as described in the announcement). Pas partout… mais si vous êtes en train de recharger votre smartphone📱à La Réunion, c’est déjà une réalité. Dans les zones non interconnectées (ZNI), les PPE (Programmation Pluriannuelle de l’Energie) fixent des objectifs ambitieux de transition énergétique. 🎯 L’objectif : décarboner la production d’électricité en remplaçant progressivement les énergies fossiles par des énergies renouvelables. La biomasse liquide est l'une des solutions du mix énergétique renouvelable indispensable pour cette décarbonation. 💡 𝐂’𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐢 ? La biomasse liquide est un ester méthylique d’huile végétale de colza, issu du procédé de transestérification des huiles. Dans les usines de Saipol, elle est produite à partir : • de colza, • et d’excédents d’autres huiles végétales certifiées durables, sans palme et sans soja. Résultat : une énergie renouvelable qui permet de réduire d’environ 65 % les émissions de gaz à effet de serre par rapport au fioul fossile utilisé dans les centrales. ⚙️ 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜̧𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞 ? Les moteurs des centrales sont adaptés pour être compatibles avec la biomasse liquide, en substitution du fioul traditionnel. 👉 À la clé :  La réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre bien sûr, mais aussi d'autres impacts positifs : • moins d’émissions de particules (élimination du soufre et de 95% de poussières), • diminution du risque industriel (combustible biodégradable), • soutien de la production pour l’alimentation : les tourteaux issus de la production d’huile de colza sont utilisés pour l’alimentation animale, ce qui permet de réduire l’importation de soja • et une production d’électricité plus respectueuse de l’environnement (100% renouvelable). 🚛 𝐏𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐢 ? Pour les producteurs d’énergie qui exploitent les centrales dans les territoires insulaires.
