Still feels a little unreal seeing our name on that list. But deep down, we always knew what we were building. We trusted it, believed in it, and knew we would make it.
This started as a Final Year Project. A university assignment with a deadline, like dozens of others. But somewhere in the late nights, the debugging sessions, and the "what if we tried this" conversations... it stopped being just a project. It became our vision. Something we were determined to bring to life, beyond submission portals or grades.
For those who haven't heard about it before: GrainHero is an agri-tech solution focused on improving grain storage and reducing post-harvest losses. We combine smart monitoring with predictive insights to help farmers manage grain storage efficiently and prevent spoilage, a problem that impacts entire supply chains.
The shift from "project" to "something bigger" wasn't by chance.
Meet the people who made this possible. Sharjeel Bilal and Atif Nazir, my co-founders, who showed up every single time. Every wall we hit, every iteration, every rebuild from scratch, we faced it together because we all believed in the same goal. GrainHero isn't just my story, it's ours. I couldn't have asked for better co-founders and partners in this journey.
Miss Sara Ibrahim, your guidance kept us grounded and focused when uncertainty crept in. Thank you for believing in this idea even before it looked like much.
To the Department of Computer Science, Air University, Islamabad Campus at Air University, thank you for fostering an environment where students aren't just encouraged to study, but to build and innovate. That culture made all the difference.
Now stepping into the NICAT - National Incubation Center for Aerospace Technologies Pakistan ecosystem, with mentors, resources, and a community of builders, is both humbling and energizing.
GrainHero is still growing. We're still learning. But moments like this remind you why we started and why we keep going.
