🚜 What Happens When Engineering Meets Agriculture? A Day with John Deere Recently, we had the opportunity to attend the “John Deere India Product Launch 2026 | Power & Technology 7.0” event conducted at Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute TNAU KUMULUR . As agricultural engineering students, it truly felt like stepping into the future of farming. 🌱 The event was also special because John Deere celebrated 27 years in India and an incredible milestone of serving over one million customers. That’s a lot of tractors helping a lot of farmers! 🚜👏 During the session, we got to explore some exciting innovations that show how engineering is transforming agriculture. We learned about technologies like Creeper Gear Technology, PermaClutch Technology, and the powerful 5M Series tractors, including the 5130M (130 HP) — which made many of us imagine driving it straight to the field. 😄 The machines also come with improved safety and comfort features such as ROPS safety structures, finger guards, anti-skid mats, and high-comfort AC cabins — because even tractor operators deserve a comfortable office! ❄️🚜 We were also introduced to innovations like radial tyres, hitch suspension systems, and the GreenSystem Combination Implement, which can perform multiple land-preparation operations in a single pass — basically the agricultural version of multitasking done right. 🌾⚙️ On the digital side, technologies like JDLink connectivity and AutoTrac satellite guidance showed how farming is becoming smarter, with tractors that can share real-time data and even guide themselves with impressive accuracy. 📡🛰️ One of the best parts of the event was the interactive discussion with John Deere experts, Mr. Vellai Murugan and Mr. Sujan Kumar Rajagopal, who shared practical insights about these technologies and how they are used in real agricultural operations. We are grateful to our Dean, Dr. Raviraj Ayyavoo, and Dr. Padmanathan Kaliappan, Head of the Farm Machinery and Power Engineering Department, for giving us the opportunity to attend such an insightful event. 🙏A special thanks to the John Deere team for conducting this event at AEC&RI, TNAU, Kumulur and giving students a chance to learn about the technologies shaping modern agriculture. And honestly… seeing all those powerful tractors made many of us wish we could take one for a quick test drive straight to the farm. 🚜😄 #JohnDeere #AgriTech #AgriculturalEngineering #PrecisionFarming #FutureOfFarming #TNAU #AECRIKumulur 🚜🌱

I spent 3 months talking to farmers in rural India. They don't need another fintech app. They don't need another social platform. They need to know: → What is their crop selling for TODAY in the nearest mandi? → Is this yellow spot on their wheat a disease or just dirt? → Which government scheme can they actually apply for? So I built FarmMitra. 🌾 An AI-powered farming assistant — entirely in Hindi — built for the 100M+ farmers in India who are still underserved by tech. What it does: ✅ Real-time mandi prices from 15 states (govt API) ✅ AI crop disease scanner — just take a photo ✅ KisanBot — Hindi farming chatbot (voice input supported) ✅ PM Kisan, Fasal Bima, KCC — all schemes in one place ✅ Works offline — cached data when no internet Built solo. In Flutter. With real APIs. No fake data. Launching on Play Store soon. Looking for: 🤝 NGOs / FPOs working with farmers — let's pilot this together 🏢 AgriTech companies interested in whitelabeling 🌱 Early users who want to test before launch Drop a comment or DM me if you're interested. Let's actually build something that matters. 🙏 nasscom #AgriTech #FarmTech #India #Flutter #AI #StartupIndia #Farming #KisanBot #FarmMitra

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. When harvest timing, quality windows, and input decisions are managed too late, volatility stops being a field issue and becomes a boardroom issue. That shift is already visible across the sector. McKinsey’s Global Farmer Insights shows that input costs, extreme weather, and commodity-price volatility are now the top profitability risks for farmers, while BCG argues agrifood companies can no longer afford a reactive approach to supply-chain risk. A 2026 Science study adds the hard warning: multiyear droughts are becoming drier, hotter, and more widespread. For C-level leaders, the real 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱. It is 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. That means:  • Harvest windows become harder to optimize.  • Quality outcomes become harder to protect.  • Field interventions arrive later than they should.  • And margin leakage grows across planning, sourcing, labor, irrigation, and downstream commitments. This is where Apps Agriculture Management changes the conversation. It helps agriculture companies move from 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 to 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲r. With Apps Agriculture Management, companies can: • predict harvest timing and expected quality earlier • analyze why lower-grade outputs occurred • guide field inspections with data-driven agronomic recommendations • align farm execution with enterprise planning and costing processes 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮. It is about predicting risk, protecting quality, and defending margin. That is exactly where Apps Akademi is focused. https://lnkd.in/d7nQysJh #Agriculture #AgriTech #DigitalAgriculture #SmartFarming #PrecisionAgriculture #FarmManagement #Agribusiness #AppsAgriculture #CropManagement #ClimateResilience #AppsAkademi #SustainableAgriculture #AgriculturalInnovation #OracleCloud #OracleERP
