The second edition of AgroSpectrum Technovate 2026 began with engaging discussions on the future of agriculture at the CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre.
The inaugural session, hosted by Vibha B., President, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Private Limited, featured thought leaders who emphasised the need for innovation, accessible technologies, and stronger value chains to build a sustainable and profitable agricultural ecosystem.
As Mr. Ravi Boratkar, Publisher & Managing Editor, AgroSpectrum and MD, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Private Limited, noted:
“Agriculture is at a critical juncture—feeding a growing population while protecting natural resources and tackling climate change. Innovation through precision farming, digital platforms, AI and climate-smart practices will be key to building a smart and sustainable agri ecosystem.”
Echoing the importance of technology reaching the grassroots, Dr. CD Mayee, Chairman, Conference Committee, AgroSpectrum Technovate 2026, said: “The future of agriculture lies in new technologies—from AI adoption in sugarcane farms in Baramati to predictive models for pest attacks like pink bollworm. But the real challenge is ensuring these technologies are affordable and reach the farmers.”
Highlighting the role of mechanisation and policy support, Dr. T.R Kesavan, Director & Group President – Corporate Relations & Alliances, TAFE - Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, added:
“With the right mechanisation, small-farm friendly equipment and agriculture-as-a-service models, farmers can access technology without heavy investments.”
The highlight of the session was the vision talk delivered by Prof Ramesh Chand NITI Aayog, on “Leveraging Advanced Technologies in Indian Agriculture.” In his address, he emphasised how digital tools, AI-driven analytics, precision farming, and innovative policy frameworks can help accelerate productivity, improve sustainability, and make Indian agriculture globally competitive.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Milind Kokje, Chief Editor, AgroSpectrum, who thanked the dignitaries, speakers, partners, and attendees for their valuable contributions and support in making AgroSpectrum Technovate 2026 a successful and impactful platform for agricultural innovation.
