What if AI could turn a farmer’s field conditions into the right guidance at the right time? Today, I had the opportunity to participate in a college-level hackathon at PSCMR College, conducted around Google for Developers – Prompt Wars. Our challenge focused on Agriculture & Climate Resilience: «Build an AI-powered web application that supports farmer livelihood and food security by acting as a real-time bridge between raw field conditions and expert agronomic guidance.» The problem immediately stood out to me because it goes beyond building another application. We had to think about how technology could connect real-world agricultural conditions with actionable decisions. Our approach explored how inputs such as: 🌱 Crop and field conditions 📷 Images of affected crops 📍 Location-based information 🌦️ Weather conditions 🤖 AI-powered analysis could be transformed into practical and understandable guidance for farmers. The hackathon environment challenged us to move quickly from problem → idea → implementation → iteration. It wasn't always straightforward. We had to make technical decisions under time constraints, experiment with AI-assisted development and prompting, identify gaps, and continuously refine our approach. One of my biggest takeaways was that building impactful technology starts with understanding the people and problem behind the technology. This experience strengthened my understanding of AI, web development, prompt engineering, and practical problem-solving. More importantly, it gave me the opportunity to experience what it means to build technology with a real-world purpose. I'm grateful for this experience at PSCMR College and for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, experiment, and challenge myself. Another project. Another lesson. Another step toward becoming a better builder. 🌱 Turning AI into Action for Agriculture & Climate Resilience Excited to share my experience participating in PromptWars × InnovX, where I had the opportunity to work on the problem statement "Agriculture & Climate Resilience." The challenge was to build an AI-powered web application that supports farmer livelihoods and food security by creating a real-time bridge between raw field conditions and expert agronomic guidance. 💡 Our solution: We created a functional interface that takes unstructured, real-world inputs such as: 📸 A photo of a diseased leaf 📍 Farmer’s location 🌦️ Live weather signals …and transforms them into a clear, actionable agricultural advisory: 🔍 Identify what’s affecting the crop 🌿 Recommend how to treat it ⏰ Suggest when it is safer to take action based on upcoming weather conditions What made this project especially meaningful was the focus on solving a real-world problem with AI, rather than building AI just for the sake of technology. From an idea to Crop Guard AI! Excited to share my hackathon project, “CropGuardAI – Crop Health & Climate Risk Advisory.” I built CropGuardAI with a simple goal: help farmers understand what’s happening to their crops and, more importantly, know what to do and when to act. • AI-powered crop disease detection •Location-based field insights • Weather & climate risk analysis •Treatment and prevention recommendations • Weather-based “Best Time to Act” guidance The key idea behind CropGuardAI is to combine crop health + AI + weather intelligence into one actionable advisory, helping farmers make more informed decisions and build greater resilience against climate-related risks. Building this project individually was a great learning experience — from turning a problem statement into a product idea to designing and developing a functional AI-powered web application.
