Excited to share a major milestone in my Agri-Tech journey!🚀
I am thrilled to announce that I have officially signed a 5-month consulting engagement with Pegara inc as a Buyer Acquisition Advisor(Consultant) the Agri-Forge Innovation Challenge Programme 2026, implemented in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) in Zimbabwe.
This milestone represents more than just a contract; it is a dedicated opportunity to bridge the critical gap between early-stage agricultural technology innovation and real-world market execution. Across Africa, smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, and emerging tech teams produce groundbreaking solutions, but scaling them requires turning market potential into verified demand, strategic buyer partnerships, and sustainable trade relationships.
In my role, I will be working directly with talented incubated teams—including 4 selected innovators —to help them transition from product development to active buyer engagement, commercial validation, and signed market agreements. By helping these ventures validate market needs, build trust with off-takers, and establish structured supply chains, we aim to drive real transactional liquidity and long-term economic resilience for local farming communities.
My commitment to digitalizing agricultural systems and empowering rural value chains has always been driven by a single conviction: practical farming powered by data and technology can transform livelihoods. From designing digital extension models to supporting credit risk scoring and marketplace architectures, every step has reinforced how vital market access is for sustainable development.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Shunsuke Ichihara and the entire Pegara team for their trust and visionary leadership, as well as the World Food Programme (WFP) and Pegara Japan G.K. for supporting youth-led agricultural innovation across Zimbabwe.
Building robust, technology-enabled food ecosystems requires cross-sector collaboration, field-level grit, and market-first execution. I am eager to contribute to this mission over the coming months and look forward to sharing practical insights and milestones as we work alongside these incredible teams.
