With immense enthusiasm and pride, we are delighted to commence the journey of XOPS for the academic year 2026-27! ✨
The inauguration marked more than the beginning of a new academic year, it set the stage for a year of learning, leadership, and deeper engagement with the world of operations and supply chain management.
The highlight of the session was an insightful inaugural keynote by Mr. Satya Ruben G, Chief Operating Officer at SynCom Agritech Co., Ltd., held on 4th August 2026.
Themed “Beyond the Product, Behind the Process,” the session offered students an industry perspective on the operations and supply chains shaping the apparel industry.
Drawing from his expertise in farm-to-fashion supply chains, organic cotton, sustainability, and traceability, Mr. Satya took us through the end-to-end cotton value chain - from cultivation and harvesting to ginning, spinning, knitting, and garment manufacturing.
The session also highlighted critical aspects of modern operations, including sustainable operations, supply-chain traceability, quality management, certification, GHG emissions, and farmer-linked value chains. 🌱🔗
From Learning to Application:
Students then put their learning into practice through an interactive challenge, conceptualising a new product and designing its complete end-to-end supply chain, covering sourcing, production, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
The event concluded with the badge distribution ceremony for the newly appointed XOPS office bearers, marking the beginning of a new leadership journey for the academic year 2026-27. 🎖️
As we step into a new year, XOPS looks forward to creating more opportunities where industry meets classroom, concepts meet application, and learning translates into action.
