Bridging Hardware and Software for Smarter Farming! 🌾 Super excited to share something I’ve been working on with Caleb Lewis and Harshid Modi — our HarvestHub: Smart Farming Dashboard 🌱 As a hardware person diving deep into software, this project was a huge learning curve — and a rewarding one! We built a complete IoT-based remote farming system where ESP sensor nodes send live environmental data (soil moisture, temperature, humidity, pH, and light) to a gateway, which then pushes it to Firebase Cloud. From there, we built a clean, responsive Next.js dashboard that brings the farm to your screen — anywhere, anytime. What it does: Tracks crop health in real time 🌾 Sends alerts for critical or warning conditions ⚠️ Controls irrigation systems remotely 💧 Shows detailed reports and trends on crop yield and performance 📊 Manages all IoT nodes — sensors, valves, and pumps — in one place ⚙️ This project truly blends Cloud Computing, IoT, and modern web tech — showing how data can empower smarter, more sustainable agriculture.
