On enchaîne.

🍓 Marine AlphaFarm — Fresh Premium Strawberries at Sea Next week in Kuala Lumpur, we are scheduled to meet a Malaysian container-vessel shipowner to introduce Marine AlphaFarm, CESeL’s shipboard premium strawberry vertical farming concept. Growing strawberries onboard requires a different engineering approach from a land-based vertical farm. Continuous vibration, roll, pitch and vessel movement require reinforced securing and motion-resistant engineering for the growing structure, LED assemblies, tanks, piping, electrical equipment and control systems. Marine AlphaFarm is being developed specifically around these shipboard operating conditions. Another critical capability is the supply of flowering strawberry plants. For shipboard farming, shortening the time from planting to harvest is important. CESeL plans to prepare production-ready flowering plants at Johor AlphaFarm and supply them together with the cultivation protocol, enabling a faster transition into continuous production. The current 40ft HC Marine AlphaFarm is designed for 840 flowering plants, targeting approximately 1.26 tonnes of annual production, 10–12 months of continuous harvesting, and an average daily harvest of approximately 3.5–4.2 kg. Marine AlphaFarm is designed as more than a container farm. It is a premium crew-welfare and flagship innovation system, providing fresh premium fruit during long voyages while creating visible ESG, people-first and innovation value for the shipowner. Our initial commercialization approach is a one-vessel pilot on a suitable flagship or long-haul vessel, followed by selective fleet deployment after operational and crew-response validation. #MarineAlphaFarm #MaritimeInnovation #VerticalFarming #CrewWelfare #AgriTech #SmartFarming #Strawberry #ShipboardFarming #CESeL #Malaysia

#brumisation #pepeniére_fraises

Experiment 02 🌱 Can soil reveal what's happening beneath the surface? Laboratory experiments provide controlled conditions, but real-world deployment presents an entirely different challenge. This video was captured during our first field deployment at Ampney Down Farm in the Cotswolds, where Adrian Crew and I used an auger to prepare the ground for the installation of the first Palmer-Hunter Labs environmental sensing probes. This opportunity was made possible through Professor Matt Bell at Hartpury University and Hartpury College, who introduced Palmer-Hunter Labs to The Wildlife Trusts, creating the opportunity to move from laboratory validation to real-world environmental monitoring. One of the biggest lessons from the day was just how variable natural environments really are. Every location, every soil profile, and every installation presents its own challenges. Successfully deploying sensors in-situ requires far more than simply placing a probe in the ground; it requires understanding the environment itself. Every field deployment teaches us something new. Every experiment brings us one step closer to building Environmental Intelligence. Monitor. Understand. Act. #PalmerHunterLabs #EnvironmentalIntelligence #EnvironmentalMonitoring #AgriTech #SoilScience #Research #Innovation #FieldResearch #ExperimentsBeforeSolutions

The next generation of India's billion-dollar businesses may not be built in Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Delhi. They may emerge from villages that most founders have never visited. For decades, Indian startups have competed for the same customer: • Urban • Digital • Convenience-driven The logic was simple—higher purchasing power, better infrastructure, easier customer acquisition, and greater internet penetration. But every market eventually reaches a point where competition becomes more intense than opportunity. Meanwhile, nearly two-thirds of India's population lives outside major metropolitan areas, yet many products, services, and supply chains are still designed for urban consumers. That's where I believe the next wave of innovation lies. Rural India isn't just an underserved market—it's an underserved economic ecosystem. The opportunities extend far beyond retail: • Agritech & farm-to-market logistics • Affordable healthcare & diagnostics • Rural fintech & MSME credit • Village warehousing & last-mile logistics • Regional education & skill development • Decentralized manufacturing clusters • Renewable energy & micro-grids What excites me most isn't the market size—it's the opportunity to redesign entire value chains. Many startups ask, "How can we deliver faster?" A better question might be: "Why does this value chain exist in its current form?" Companies like VilCart, DeHaat, and Ninjacart didn't simply sell products—they redesigned supply chains. For aspiring entrepreneurs, my suggestion is simple: Before building the next marketplace or AI application, spend a week in rural India. Talk to farmers, kirana owners, teachers, transport operators, and local entrepreneurs. Observe before you build. The biggest opportunities are often hidden inside problems that people have accepted as "normal." I believe the next decade of Indian entrepreneurship will belong to founders who don't just build for rural India—but build with rural India. If you had ₹10 crore to build one company focused only on rural India, what problem would you solve—and why? Let's discuss. #RuralIndia #Entrepreneurship #BusinessStrategy #SupplyChain #Innovation #Agritech #Logistics #StartupIndia #EconomicDevelopment #FutureOfBusiness
