Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management's both PGDM ABM and Cooperation programme hosted 𝐌𝐬. Bhumi Gosalia (𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 – 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭, Ulink Agritech PVT LTD – InI Farms) for a session that took students through how two arms of one business farm-level inputs and post-harvest export logistics work together to build a single, connected pathway from field to global buyer.
𝐌𝐬. Bhumi Gosalia opened by outlining the recurring problems smallholder farmers face: delayed access to advisory support, limited technical know-how, unreliable input sourcing, fragmented supply chains, high post-harvest losses, and restricted entry into organised markets. She explained how AgroStar addresses the upstream side quality seeds, crop nutrition, crop protection and digital agronomic advisory, backed by a structured sourcing-and-verification pipeline while INI Farms closes the loop downstream, handling procurement, grading, cold-chain infrastructure, packaging and market linkage, both domestic and export.
A highlight of the talk was the company's approach to minimising waste, with post-harvest losses reportedly kept below 1% through automated sorting, optical grading and precision pre-cooling, and any produce falling short of export grade redirected into value-added products rather than discarded.
She also spoke about the company's global reach including sea-freight shipments of pomegranates from Solapur to Australia supported by APEDA-aligned protocols, GLOBALG.A.P. and BRCGS certifications, and digital traceability systems such as ANARNET. Citing measured impact, she shared that around 90% of participating farmers saw visible improvement in crop quality and yield, and roughly 73% reported a direct rise in net income.
Our sincere thanks to 𝐌𝐬. Bhumi Gosalia and Ulink Agritech PVT LTD- InI Farms for this insightful session.
