🌱 North Node’s First Research Project: Building a Resilient Food–Feed Ecosystem What if the future of food security isn’t about producing more—but using what we already produce much better? I’m excited to position this as the first research project of North Node: Food ➡️Feed ➡️Pet Nutrition ➡️Circularity ➡️Resilience Today, human food production, livestock feed, pet nutrition and food-waste management largely operate as separate systems. I believe there is an opportunity to connect them intelligently—without compromising quality, safety or nutritional standards. The research will explore a model where safe agricultural and food-processing co-products can be: Human food → highest-value use ⬇️ Safe by-products → feed ingredients ⬇️ Species-specific processing → livestock / poultry / aquaculture / pet nutrition ⬇️ Organic residues → compost / bioenergy ⬇️ Back to agriculture ⬇️ The bigger opportunity is resilience. During floods, droughts, crop failures, pandemics or supply-chain disruptions, the same infrastructure could potentially function as an emergency food and animal-feed network—helping reduce dependency on long supply chains while minimizing material wastage.🌱 The research questions are simple, but important: 🌱• Can shared processing infrastructure reduce production costs? 🌱Can food-processing by-products be safely converted into high-value feed ingredients? 🌱Can we reduce transportation, storage and disposal costs? 🌱Can a digital platform match available biological resources with their safest, highest-value destination? 🌱Can the model become an emergency-response network for both human and animal nutrition? This is not a proposal to turn “waste” into food or feed without controls. Safety, traceability, contamination testing, nutritional analysis and species-specific standards would be fundamental to the model. 🪼Now I’m looking for collaborators. I would love to connect with: Food scientists | Veterinarians | Animal nutritionists | Agronomists | Food-processing companies | Feed manufacturers | Pet-food companies | Researchers | Supply-chain experts | Sustainability professionals | Agri-tech founders | Investors# If you are working at the intersection of food, agriculture, animal health, nutrition, circular economy or climate resilience, I would genuinely like to hear your perspective. North Node is starting with a research question—not a finished answer. If we can bring the right minds together, perhaps we can build a system where less is wasted, production becomes more efficient, and food security becomes more resilient. Interested in collaborating, researching or investing in this direction? Let’s connect. #NorthNode #FoodSecurity #AnimalNutrition #PetNutrition #CircularEconomy #AgriTech #FoodTech #Sustainability #ClimateResilience #VeterinaryInnovation #ResearchAndDevelopment #FutureOfFood #Innovation

"The future of agriculture belongs to businesses solving problems across the value chain." — Gbenga Aladejebi While cultivation is the starting point, the most significant growth opportunities in agriculture lie beyond the farm. The industry requires practical solutions to post-harvest challenges—whether that means improving cold-chain storage infrastructure, streamlining transport logistics, or optimizing the processing of raw materials. To scale agribusiness in Africa, we must bridge these missing links. The most successful founders are not just growing crops; they are building systems that solve specific supply chain bottlenecks. Listen to this excerpt to hear Gbenga explain where these untapped opportunities are hiding. listen to the full episode via https://lnkd.in/eXuYEmYT? #AgritechFoundersDiary #AgriculturalValueChains #Agribusiness #SupplyChainSolutions #FutureOfAgriculture #AfriRica #Agripreneur

#Agronomie #Framboise #FruitsRouges #Berries #Hydroponie #AgricultureHorsSol #ConseilAgricole #Berkane #AgTech

🌾 Built AgriVision AI — an agricultural decision-support platform, not just another dashboard. Most "smart farming" demos show pretty charts. I wanted something that actually tells a farmer what to do. AgriVision AI tracks live field sensor data (soil moisture, temperature, humidity, rainfall, soil condition) across multiple fields, analyzes uploaded crop imagery for visible plant stress, and turns all of it into three things that matter: 💧 Irrigation demand — how much water, how urgently ⚠️ Crop-stress risk — scored and explained, not just flagged 🩺 Field health — a single number you can act on Then it ranks every recommendation by priority, compares fields side-by-side, and runs a live simulation so you can watch conditions evolve in real time. Built end-to-end in Python + Streamlit — no external APIs, fully self-contained, ready to run in one command. The goal wasn't "cool AI demo." It was: if I handed this to someone managing real fields, would it actually help them decide what to do today? #AgriTech #AI #PrecisionAgriculture #Streamlit #Python #AgricultureTechnology

At Independence Day, PM flagged a ₹2.4 trillion fertilizer subsidy bill vs ₹1.7 trillion budgeted, while naming chemical-free farming a national priority. The message is clear: input-heavy agriculture is now fiscally unsustainable, even as markets pay more for low-chemical produce. This reframes precision ag from a farmer-income story to an exchequer story. Soil and input data becomes critical infrastructure for targeting subsidy, credit and extension; low-input farming shifts from niche export to mainstream cost strategy. India doesn't lack soil tests — it lacks a system that turns soil intelligence into decisions at scale. Vidaksh, with IIT (BHU) Varanasi, is building that Soil Intelligence System to manage inputs, yield and cost on evidence, not habit. #FertilizerSubsidy #IndianAgriculture #PrecisionAgriculture #SoilIntelligence #SoilHealth #NaturalFarming #ChemicalFreeFarming #AgriTech #PMPRANAM #AgriPolicy #FoodSecurity #IITBHU #Vidaksh

Every farmer's effort deserves recognition — this Independence Day, we're making sure it gets it. Across India, millions of farmers are quietly doing the work that matters — protecting soil, managing water, growing crops sustainably. But without proper verification, their contribution to India's carbon economy has stayed invisible. At TrueCarbon, we're changing that. Our Digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting & Verification) platform brings GPS-mapped plot boundaries, photo evidence, and audit-ready data to every field — turning a farmer's honest effort into verified, registry-ready proof. No more paper trails. No more guesswork. Just transparent, trustworthy data that carbon programmes and verifiers can actually rely on. This Independence Day, we're celebrating the people who make India's carbon projects real — one verified field at a time. 🇮🇳 Happy Independence Day, from all of us at TrueCarbon. Agriculture is a half-trillion-dollar industry in India, yet it runs on less than 1% tech penetration. For years, building an agritech startup felt like fighting gravity. The unit economics were brutal, customer acquisition costs (CAC) were high, and selling standalone SaaS subscriptions to smallholder farmers, who make up 86% of the market, was nearly impossible. But the narrative is rapidly shifting, driven by a collision of rural innovation and government-led Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). We are currently witnessing the "UPI moment" for agriculture with the rollout of AgriStack. By digitally integrating land records, farmer profiles, and satellite weather data, the government is solving the biggest historical bottleneck for startups: trust and verification. Suddenly, offering micro-credit, crop insurance, and precision advisory doesn't require an expensive army of field agents. Startups are finally abandoning pure-software strategies and pivoting to full-stack "phygital" models. They aren't just giving advice; they are managing warehouse receipt financing, deploying drone-as-a-service (DaaS), and building end-to-end traceable supply chains. The market, projected to hit over $2.1 billion by 2031, is moving away from subsidized expansion and toward real, monetized transactions. However, the ultimate winners won't be the ones with the flashiest AI algorithms. They will be the founders who understand that rural innovation is about building trust in the physical world, backed by the efficiency of digital infrastructure. Are we finally ready to see Indian agritech move from pilot projects to global blueprints? #Agritech #StartupIndia #AgriStack #RuralInnovation #Entrepreneurship #DPI

On enchaîne.
