A tractor can work harder without working longer.
That sounds simple, but it changes how we think about farm mechanisation.
In many parts of South India, the challenge isnât necessarily access to tractors. It is how efficiently those tractors are usedâhow accurately they operate, how consistently implements are controlled, how much field time is actually productive, and how little of that activity is recorded.
SmartTrac is building around this gap.
By retrofitting existing tractors with GPS auto-steering and implement automation, we can improve the machine without asking the farmer to replace an asset that still has years of useful life.
Then TracOS adds something equally important: visibility.
Every field hour, operation, GPS coordinate and machine activity can become structured data.
For a farmer or Custom Hiring Centre, that means better understanding of machine utilisation. For institutions, it creates a clearer picture of what is happening on the ground. And over time, that data can support new opportunities around financing, reporting and carbon credits.
The next tractor doesnât necessarily need to be new.
It needs to be connected.
