This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time up in the North Yorkshire Moors (Middlesmoore) — and it reminded me just how privileged we are to have this right on our doorstep. But it also got me thinking. With so much agricultural land and open space, why are we seeing so few renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV, across the landscape. 🔆 Solar PV could be a huge opportunity for rural communities. Farmers can lease part of their land for solar development, providing long-term and predictable revenue that isn’t as affected by fluctuating crop prices or livestock markets. With the right approach, solar doesn’t have to displace farming — it can work alongside it: - Grazing livestock beneath panels - Wildflower & pollinator habitats - Soil recovery & regenerative land use - Agrivoltaics pairing crops with solar It feels like a win for both agriculture and the energy sector. As the UK continues moving toward a cleaner energy future, rural landscapes like the North Yorkshire Moors could play a much bigger role — not just as places of natural beauty, but as living contributors to our energy infrastructure. #solarpv #solar #renewableenergy

Le chanvre industriel (Cannabis sativa L., <0,3 % de THC) émerge aujourd’hui comme un outil puissant, validé par la science, pour les régions désertiques : tolérant à la sécheresse, à croissance rapide, et désormais intégré dans un marché mondial de 13,54 milliards de dollars, qui devrait atteindre 84 milliards d’ici 2034 🚀 (TCAC de 22,5 % !).
