🚀 Hackathon Experience — GLOBAL CODEVERSE 2026 I recently participated in GLOBAL CODEVERSE 2026, a 24-hour Mega Hackathon organized by the Global Institute of Engineering and Technology Moinabad For the hackathon, we worked on RythuMitra 🌱, an AI-powered crop advisory platform aimed at helping farmers identify crop diseases and receive useful agricultural guidance. Building the project within the hackathon timeframe and presenting it to the jury was a great learning experience. We also faced some challenges during the final presentation, but it taught me an important lesson about preparing projects for real-world demo situations. What made the experience even better was the people around us. The other participants were friendly, supportive, and encouraging, and it was great to interact with different teams and see the ideas they were working on. A special thank you to my teammate Sharan Kanna for working alongside me and contributing to RythuMitra throughout the hackathon. A key highlight was understanding the complete data pipeline, guided by Prof. Indu Joshi ma'am from: 🔹 Data cleaning and preprocessing 🔹 Data extraction and handling 🔹 Building and preparing datasets 🔹 Machine Learning model training We then explored how tools like Orange can simplify data analysis, visualization, and ML workflows through a visual, low-code approach. The session also introduced n8n, showing how automation workflows can connect different tools and processes to build more efficient AI-powered systems. 🌱 Serristes : combien vous coûte réellement l’énergie pour produire ? Quand on parle de rentabilité d’une serre, on pense souvent au rendement, au prix de vente, à la main-d’œuvre ou aux intrants. Mais il existe un autre poste sur lequel il faut se pencher : l’énergie. ⚡ Chauffage, maintien des températures, eau chaude, ventilation, équipements… Une serre a besoin d’énergie pour maintenir les conditions nécessaires à la production. Et c’est justement pour cela que je pense qu’il faut arrêter de regarder uniquement la facture. Il faut regarder l’installation dans son ensemble. 👉 Comment l’énergie est-elle produite ? 👉 Où sont les principales consommations ? 👉 Certaines installations sont-elles surdimensionnées ou vieillissantes ? 👉 Peut-on récupérer de l’énergie aujourd’hui perdue ? 👉 Existe-t-il des solutions permettant de diminuer les consommations sans modifier les conditions de culture ? C’est là que le sujet devient intéressant. Parce que l’objectif n’est évidemment pas de dire à un serriste : « Chauffez moins. » L'objectif est plutôt : « Comment obtenir les conditions dont vos cultures ont besoin en consommant mieux ? » 🌡️🌿 La nuance est importante. Chez Groupe Dumont, c’est cette approche que je souhaite développer auprès des exploitations agricoles : partir du terrain, comprendre le fonctionnement de la serre et identifier les leviers énergétiques pertinents. Pas de solution standard appliquée partout. Une exploitation de tomates, une pépinière ou une exploitation horticole n’ont ni les mêmes besoins ni les mêmes contraintes. 🌱 Avant de parler d’économies d’énergie, commençons par comprendre comment votre serre fonctionne.
