Toward Zero Hunger (SDG2): The Power of a Connected Food Web When the first 𝐃𝐣𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 was proposed, a blueprint to reimagine collaboration against food insecurity, its foundation was simple yet powerful: 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. From farmers and stores to wholesalers, restaurants, and everyday users, the goal has always been to create a living “𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒆𝒃”, a digital ecosystem where everyone can share updates, solve challenges in real time, and minimize waste so that no one goes hungry. It’s more than technology; it’s about 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. Today, that vision takes a visible step forward. One Month Into My Soilless Farming Journey 🌱 It’s been a month since I began my training at the EYIA Program Batch 12 with Soilless Farm Lab, Ogun State, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. From the very first day — touring the farm city, clearing and leveling plots, and helping to set up our greenhouses — I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the effort and innovation that go into sustainable farming. Beyond the hands-on activities, we’ve had insightful lectures on topics like Operational Farm Safety, Agribusiness Innovation, Hydroponics, Greenhouse Construction, and Financial Literacy, among others. We also celebrated World Food Day, a reminder of why this journey truly matters — ensuring food security through innovation.
