From Marjorie’s Garden to an AI-Powered Food Platform for Africa
We’ve had spectacular failures at Marjoz Farm Stores — crops that didn’t make it, deals that collapsed, and cash-flow chaos every entrepreneur knows too well.
But we’ve had even greater wins: families fed, supermarkets and restaurants onboarded, and livelihoods created.
Five years ago, Marjorie Bamundaga, a retired public servant, decided to farm — not as a hobby, but with a dream to supply 100+ supermarkets across Uganda.
That dream became Marjoz Farms (from Marjorie — simple, powerful, like her).
Her story drives our mission to fix what’s broken in our food systems:
🥦 Farmers have produce but no reliable buyers.
🍲 Restaurants overpay and waste time sourcing ingredients.
🏠 Households want fresh, affordable food but struggle with planning and budgets.
💡 Alongside this, my work across impact-driven startups in logistics, on-demand tech, and clean-cooking energy has taught me firsthand what building relevant, people-centered technology truly means.
Today, we’re proud to unveil our MVP:

✅ Smart Meal Planner – 7-day plans in seconds
