I’m delighted to share that I have successfully completed the NPTEL Certification Course on “Climate Change: Extreme Events”, conducted by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This advanced course provided a deep understanding of the scientific mechanisms behind extreme climatic events, global warming, and environmental vulnerabilities — areas that are now central to the sustainability of agriculture and rural innovation. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Society for Precision Agriculture & Rural Innovation (SPARI), I believe continuous learning is the cornerstone of meaningful leadership. The lessons from this program will help strengthen SPARI’s vision of building climate-smart, data-driven, and resilient agricultural systems that empower farmers and safeguard our environment. Because innovation without sustainability is incomplete — and leadership without learning is directionless. 🌱 Automatic Plant Watering System using Arduino Uno 💧 Excited to share my latest project — an IoT-based automatic plant watering system that ensures plants are watered only when needed! In this project, I used an Arduino Uno, soil moisture sensor, 16x2 LCD display, and a relay-controlled water pump to automate irrigation based on real-time soil moisture readings. 💡 How it works: The soil moisture sensor continuously monitors the water level in the soil. When the soil gets dry (below a threshold value), the Arduino activates the relay module, turning ON the pump to water the plant. Once the soil is sufficiently moist, the system automatically turns the pump OFF. The LCD display shows the live moisture value and watering status (ON/OFF). Agriculture : Importance des Starups!!! À ceux qui ironisent discrètement ou versent intentionnellement ou par ignorance dans le whatch-bashing des intentions publiques de concevoir et de déployer des solutions digitales pour piloter et réorganiser le secteur agricole dont la contribution à la formation du PIB prend de l'importance, ceci est une preuve que même l'agriculture n'échappera pas au innovations technologiques et que les Agritech et les Greentech font parties aujourd'hui des startups les plus prometteuses et les mieux cotées dans le monde. Ignorer les solutions technologiques innovantes disponibles en matière d'agriculture, d'agro-alimentaire et d'optimisation de la gestion des activités connexes, ne peut pas faire fi de ce qui se fait dans le monde ni occulter les usages qui sont fait des outils et des solutions digitales pour optimiser les ressources naturelles et la gestion des activités agricoles en temps réel et avec des solutions combinant plusieurs technologies interopérables : drones, scanners dotés de plusieurs technologies, satellites, logiciels d'analyses de données notamment quantiques, Intelligence Artificielle, cameras et IoT, capteurs embarqués sur les plantes et les cheptels, télésurveillance, robots-AI-Agents agriculteurs et .... la liste des applications possibles en agriculture est tellement longue que personne ne peut en limiter la portée. Cependant, en limiter l'interprétation et se focaliser sur des objectifs de contrôle ou de volonté de vérification de la destination des subventions et des aides, par ailleurs légitimes pour stopper cette hémorragie et ces détournements massifs de l'argent public par les écosystèmes parasitaires toxiques au secteur agricole et préjudiciables aux agriculteurs, est une forme de résistance au changement qu'il faut combattre vigoureusement afin que l'équité et la transparence soient imposé via des solutions de startups aussi. Bravo à nos talentueux développeurs de cette solution "Smart-farming" qui ouvre d'autres perspectives sur l'intégration et l'interopérabilité d'autres outils et instruments issus des innovations digitales et technologiques aux nombreuses et nombreux talents algériens en agriculture cultures animalières.
