​I am thrilled to announce that, I will be among few selected Agriculture Extension Officers for the upcoming Project Close-Out Workshop for our six-year research initiative, "Building Vegetable Farmers' Resilience to Climate Change" ​ Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the University of Cape Coast! ​ Project Highlights: Research to Real-World Impact ​Duration: January 2020 – December 2025 ​Focus: Investigating the use of oil palm empty fruit bunch as an organic soil amendment to enhance soil health and crop yield. ​Results: This innovative approach, when combined with irrigation, successfully doubled eggplant yield! This highlights its enormous potential for boosting productivity in vegetable farming systems across Ghana. ​ Recognizing Key Contributors ​We are excited to have Patience Worlali Kpeda , an Agricultural Extension Agent from the Upper West Akim District, joining us ​Patience was a vital part of our success, playing a crucial role in farmer engagement and the dissemination of project outputs. Her participation in the workshop is key to contributing to discussions on scaling up these successful interventions.
