๐ฑ Better late than never! Looking back at our B.Tech Semester 4 Capstone Project โ Mitti-Mitra (เชฎเชฟเชเซเชเซ-เชฎเชฟเชคเซเชฐ) ๐
Agriculture depends heavily on healthy soil, but getting timely soil insights and making the right decisions can still be challenging for farmers.
So, we decided to build Mitti-Mitra โ an IoT + Machine Learning + Mobile ecosystem aimed at making soil and greenhouse monitoring more accessible and actionable.
๐ง What we built:
โข An ESP32-based IoT system collecting soil and environmental parameters such as moisture, temperature, humidity, air quality, water TDS, and light.
โข A Machine Learning model using Random Forest to estimate soil microbial activity and provide organic bio-fertilizer recommendations.
โข A React Native mobile application with English, Hindi, and Gujarati support, voice guidance, and an AI-powered agricultural assistant.
โข A backend system for maintaining test histories, feedback, and data.
One of the most valuable parts of this project was seeing different domains come together into one working system โ hardware, embedded systems, ML, APIs, mobile development, and AI.
๐จโ๐ป Team
Keyur Rana,Dhanvi Patel , and Tanish Vadera collaborated across IoT, machine learning, hardware testing, mobile development, multilingual support, voice workflows, and API integration.
A huge thank you to our guide Bhavika Patel for her constant guidance, feedback, and support throughout the project. ๐
This project taught us that building a real-world solution isn't just about getting individual components to work โ it's about making all those components work together reliably for the people who will actually use them.
Grateful for the experience, the challenges, and everything we learned along the way. ๐ฑ
